Description
Manages construction projects from initiation to completion and ensures adherence to building codes and safety protocols. Ensures compliance with safety regulations and industry standards. Coordinates with architects, subcontractors, and clients, while overseeing timelines, budgets, and conducting site inspections.
Responsibilities
- Develops engineering designs and plans for construction projects, including calculations and material specifications.
- Ensures designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
- Manages and oversees construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Coordinates with architects, subcontractors, and clients to ensure smooth project execution.
- Conducts site visits to monitor progress, quality control, and adherence to safety protocols.
- Provides technical guidance and solutions to construction teams on-site.
- Analyzes and resolves design and construction issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Collaborates with the project management team to develop risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepares and maintains comprehensive project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Ensures accurate and timely reporting of project status, challenges, and progress to senior management.
- Ensures all construction activities comply with relevant building codes, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Conducts safety inspections and audits and implements corrective actions as necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
- A master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is preferred.
Knowledge Recquirement
- Proficiency in the use of CAD software, structural analysis tools, and project management software.
- Excellent knowledge of construction materials, methods, and regulations.
