Description
Leads the executive management team in driving the strategy of the organization with a focus on revenue growth, innovation, and profit generation. Drives the organization’s mission, vision, and values while overseeing all operational, financial, and investment activities. Acts as advisor to the board of directors on business operations and strategy.
Responsibilities
  • Provides strategic leadership and vision to drive the company’s growth and profitability.
  • Develops and executes comprehensive business strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and achieve strategic objectives.
  • Develops and implements investment strategies that align with the organization’s risk tolerance and financial objectives.
  • Identifies and pursues investment opportunities that maximize returns while mitigating risks.
  • Establishes robust risk management frameworks and internal controls to safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.
  • Oversees all aspects of organizational management, including operations, finance, human resources, and corporate governance.
  • Oversees the management of financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Cultivates a culture of excellence, innovation, and collaboration throughout the organization.
  • Embraces and leverages technological advancements to enhance operational efficiency and ensures the organization stays competitive.
  • Builds and maintains strong relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, investors, customers, and the community.
  • Serves as a brand ambassador and spokesperson for the company and effectively communicates its mission, values, and achievements.
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, ethical standards, and best practices in corporate governance.
  • Drives operational efficiency and cost optimization initiatives to maximize financial performance.
  • Fosters a culture of integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Performs other responsibilities as assigned by the chairman and board of directors.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, economics, or any related field from a reputable university.
  • Master’s degree or MBA from a reputable university.
  • Certifications – CFA, CAIA, ICAN
Knowledge requirements
  •  Strong financial acumen and experience in budgeting, planning, financial analysis, and resource management.
  • Expert knowledge of the Nigerian business environment, market dynamics, and regulatory landscape.
  • Good understanding of financial markets, investment principles, and management strategies.
  •   High level of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools.
  • Technology savvy.
Experience
  • Minimum of 15 years’ experience in a managerial role with at least 5 years’ experience in a c-suite role with a proven track record of successful leadership in a similar industry or within a diversified conglomerate.
  • Experience in Financial Services, Oil and Gas, Hospitality, Technology and Commercial Real Estate.
