Description

Responsible for driving growth and expanding client base. Identifies new business opportunities, develops relationships with key decision-makers, and creates strategies to increase revenue.

Responsibilities

Market Research

  • Identifies new business opportunities by researching and identifying potential clients, partnerships, and markets for expansion.
  • Monitors market trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the industry.
  • Develops and manages a pipeline of qualified leads and opportunities.

 Client Relationship Management

  • Manages client relationships by building and maintaining strong relationships with existing and potential clients.
  • Acts as primary point of contact to ensure client satisfaction and address any issues or concerns.

 Proposal Development

  • Leads the preparation and submission of proposals, bids, and tenders.
  • Ensures detailed understanding of client’s need is captured and well-articulated in the proposal or bid.
  • Collaborates with the estimating and project management teams to ensure accurate and competitive pricing.

Strategy

  • Develops and implements business development strategies to achieve company growth objectives.
  • Achieves sales targets by negotiating and closing deals with clients.
  • Identifies upselling opportunities within existing contracts and projects.
  • Represents the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences.
  • Develops a network of contacts within the industry to increase visibility and generate leads.
  • Prepares regular reports on business development activities, sales performance, and market trends and provides insights and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline in engineering.
  • Master’s degree is an added advantage.
Knowledge Requirements
  • Strong understanding of the contracting and construction industry.
  • Proficient in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.

  • 5 – 10 work experience in business development, sales, or a related role within the contracting or construction industry.
  • Exploration and Production (E&P) experience.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
