Business Development Executive and Analyst

Develops and expands the clientele of the organization by identifying prospective clients,

and businesses with needs within the company’s service offerings. Develop strategic relationships with key stakeholders and clients interested in investment and payment solution services. Develops interest in investments and payment solution services through brand management, market research, and creating business proposals, and conducting presentations with prospective clients.

  • Develops new business, by actively identifying prospective businesses and needs for specific payment services.
  • Successfully manages the sales process cycle.
  •  Presents services to potential clients through direct communication, business meetings, networking events, speaking roles and e-mails.
  •  Represents the organization at industry events and tradeshows to gain new business leads and creates awareness of product, services and payment solutions.
  •  Creates and manages client proposals, presentations, contracts, and other documentation.
  • Interacts with other departments such as technical, marketing, and accounts team when needed.
  •  Stays updated with marketing trends, regulations, and issues that may affect the payments solutions industry.
  • Partakes in marketing activities and initiatives to increase the company’s visibility in current and expanding markets.
  • Generates ideas for new services to increase revenue.
  • Provides reports and projections for sales revenue to management.
  • Develops retention strategies for existing customers and upsell new business opportunities.
  • Gathers and develops market intelligence reports on competitors’ services and share for product development.
  • Identifies and develops strategic long-term relationships with key stakeholders, corporate and individual clients to develop partnerships.
  • Oversees and participates in business meetings with  prospective investors and clients and attends business forums.
  • Ensures company processes and procedures are followed to ensure timely and quality delivery of services to customers.
  • Performs other duties as required by the managing director.
  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in business
    administration, marketing, or a related field from a
    reputable and accredited university.
Technical Requirements
  • Proficiency in business development.
  • Excellent business etiquette and follow-up procedures.
  • Understanding of sales and marketing techniques.
  •  Proficiency in the use of Microsoft office tools.
  • At least 3 years of experience in business development role that involves building fintech products.
  • Proven track record securing new business, upselling, and generating revenue as a business development executive.
  • Business development experience within an online payment organization is an added advantage.
