Architect
Description
Supports the development of architectural and interior design concepts. Prepares drawings, 3D models, and construction documents such as plans and building specifications. Assists in designing architectural projects that balance functionality, aesthetics, and safety across various property types.
Contributes to the conceptual development and design coordination of construction projects. Works closely with senior architects and other professionals in the building industry to ensure designs are accurately implemented. Supports project activities to ensure deliverables are completed within scope, quality standards, and agreed timelines.
Responsibilities
Architecture
- Interpret clients’ briefs and assist in developing design concepts that meet functional, aesthetic, and technical requirements.
- Prepare detailed architectural drawings, 3D models, and presentation visuals using relevant design software.
- Support in developing working drawings, schedules, and construction documentation.
- Incorporate feedback and design changes as required by project leads or clients.
- Conduct basic research on design trends, materials, and sustainable practices.
- Ensure that design outputs comply with building codes and regulatory standards.
- Participate in site visits to observe construction progress and provide design-related input.
- Assist in preparing reports and presentation materials for design reviews and client meetings.
Project Management
- Work under the guidance of the Managing Partner or project lead to coordinate design activities.
- Track project deliverables and timelines to ensure tasks are completed as scheduled.
- Attend project meetings and prepare notes or follow-up reports.
- Support in maintaining accurate records of drawings, revisions, and project documentation.
- Collaborate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to clarify design information.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field from a reputable university.
- Completion of a second degree in Architecture (Master’s or equivalent professional qualification).
Knowledge Requirements
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Proficiency in the use of architectural design and visualization software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, 3D Max, V-Ray, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
- Ability to produce accurate 2D drawings and develop 3D visualizations for interior and exterior architectural schemes.
- Basic understanding of project coordination and exposure to project management processes.
- Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and documentation procedures.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project.
